Celebrated around the world on 8 March, International Women’s Day (IWD) is a time for reflection and hope. And, for many minorities, it’s a day that highlights how much further we’ve got to go for true equality and inclusion.
I am lucky to be surrounded by kind, passionate and resilient women. When I was growing up, it never occurred to me that women were any other than equal to men. As an adult, I see or experience bias toward women almost every day.
For me, IWD is all about sharing inspiration, motivation and support. It reminds me of all the female leaders and colleagues who have influenced my career over the years. It motivates me to do better for the women within my community and for other women our actions can uplift. Supporting other women is what inspires me to employ and work with Eva and Alaryse. And part of why I enjoy partnering with strong female leaders around the world to drive good change.
